For snorkeling around Koh Lipe, there are 2 options to choose: closer or further circles. We chose the further circle and paid 1,500 baht total (US$50, one boat can carry around 8 passengers). The further circle took around 6 hours. We left the resort at 9 a.m and returned around 3 p.m. The weather was gloomy in the morning but we were very lucky that the sun came out in the afternoon. Under the water was so much more beautiful when there was sunshine.
Let's go...
The long-tailed boat that we took for our trip.
Uncle Thep was our boat driver and guide, he's awesome!
Koh Hin Sorn: two rocks rest on one another
A star fish! It is actually hard-shelled, I always imagined that its body was soft
Uncle Thep put the star fish back where he picked it up
A little fellow on an island beach
Came out to greet visitors
From now on, it is going to be a series of underwater photos
A lobster hiding in the rocks
Sea Urchin
A star fish again (different one from above, though)
Water was so clear, we could see the bottom from the boat
The sun finally came out! Yay!
Finding Nemo
Hubby was having fun ^.^
There were a lot of fishes under the boat
Time to go home, seemed like my crews didn't want to.
Goodbye Koh Lipe, We will return!
We had a really good time there even though there was one bad, unexpected situation. Koh Lipe's charm still makes me want to go back. If you have a chance, don't hesitate to visit there!
